There are so many different kinds of massages out there but, in general, I am a fan of the ones that hurt so good.

Better yet is a massage therapist who can tell what your body needs and is also willing to listen to your feedback and requests and Tom Rotman, owner of Sage Health and Wellness, is great at doing both! His specialties include neuromuscular recap massage therapy, somatic trauma practitioner, and sports massage. He works with a large range clients including athletes, people suffering from chronic fatigue or trauma, people recovering from injury and just the average joe who needs a tune up.

Physical Therapy:
Good physical therapists can make all the difference! But how do you find a good one?

I (and my husband) have personally worked with a number of New Height's physical therapists and, while I have found them to all be great, I would specifically recommend:
Maryann Johnson: As an retired ballet dancer she often helps ballet dancers stay on their toes and works closely with Minnesota Dance Medicine on both research and education. However, she uses that dancer eye and knowledge with every patient and is amazing at finding solutions and answers for patients with long-term or unexplained pain or problems.

Laurie Xiong: Has more than twenty-five years experience as a physical therapist. She also works with athletes and non-athletes alike. She specializes in women's care (pelvic floor problems), gait training (especially for runners), and dry needling.

I have listed what sets them apart but it is worth mentioning that both physical therapists also do postural restoration, gait analysis, and manual therapies.

Are you looking for personal training with a more traditional strength building or cardio style?

I also work for Urban Fitness Twin Cities with owner Addie Kelzer! I recommend Addie and Urban Fitness for all your cardio and traditional personal training needs!
